How to wear a cami top

You know that camisole that doesn’t come to mind when you’re looking for what to wear ? Well I thought to talk about the other things you can do with it, besides wearing it under that see through top.

For the sake of clarity, a camisole can also be referred to as a cami or a cami top.

The slip dress trend was so huge last year, wearing inner wear as outer wear has probably never been more chic. Camisoles are mostly worn as inner wear and lately I’ve seen that they can be much more. They’re so versatile and will probably never go out of style.

You can wear them as a standalone or as a layering piece, basically wearing different pieces of clothing on top of each other.

Lately camisoles are more loose and slouchy, and can be tucked into a skirt and paired with heels, worn with high waist denim and sneakers, worn with wide legged pants and strapy sandals, underneath office blazers with work shoes and much more.

Opposites usually work better with clothes, so I’d suggest a fitted camisole tucked into a flared skirt and a loose camisole tucked into a pencil skirt. Chokers or tiny necklaces would be appropriate.

You might want to pair;

• A lacy camisole and boyfriend jeans.
• A silk camisole with a kimono and jeans.
• A silk camisole dressed up with statement accessories and heels.
• A turtle neck or round neck tee under a camisole and jeans.
• A light camisole dressed down with jeans or dressed up with black pants.
