Even though there was a time we wore peplum tops more than we do now, they should remain in your wardrobe. Peplum tops are super stylish and can actually hide that big meal you just had. I like how they highlight the waist and flaunt the feminine physique.
The most common way to style a peplum top is with a pencil skirt, which is why I’m sharing more ways you can rock them.
With a pencil skirt
Pencil skirts are such a hit with peplum tops. Peplum tops are flared at the bottom are contrast perfectly with fitted skirts just like pencil skirts. Add a slim belt and emphaize your waist. You could wear this to the office or church.
With a skater skirt
I think that this is such a youthful outfit and gives off a very girly vibe. The peplum top will align with the flared bottom of the skirt and will be pleasing to look at. This outfit would work to a birthday or anniversary party.
With skinny jeans
Skinny jeans paired with peplum tops are very casual and chic. The skinny denim balances out the flared end of the peplum. This is perfect for a birthday party or a weekend hangout with the squad.
Pair your peplum with denim shorts and you’re ready for sunday brunch with the girls. Its a very cute look and also looks good with sandals.
With palazzo pants
This outfit will give you a popping waist and longer legs at the same time and I can’t think of a better combination. This is perfect for a cocktail or birthday party.
With cropped pants
Peplum tops also work well with cropped pants, it creates almost the same effect with skinny jeans. This look is perfect for office meetings and semi formal events.
I paired my floral peplum top with a black mini skirt, aquamarine courts and a black purse.
I picked these shoes because there’s a shade of that color in my top and I wanted to make the top and courts the focus of the outfit.
What do you think ? Do you still own a peplum ? How do you like to style your peplum tops ? Please let me know your thoughts.
