Black and White

Hey guys,

How was your weekend ? I’m glad I caught up on hours of lost sleep.

Black and white outfits are a favorite staple, and they work pretty much for every occasion. They’re distinct colours, yet they seem like a match made in heaven.

I wore one of my favorite fish tail skirts, paired with this white round neck blouse which belongs to my mum. I added this gold necklace and bracelet to complete the look, alongside my kente clutch and neon mules.

With black and white, a great way to add more depth is to play with different textures. You can mix different fabrics like ruffles, pleats, silk. Just like I did with this loose fitting tissue top and polyester skirt.

With black and white, your outfit could get boring, or you might just want a pop of colour. What’s great about white and black is that almost any colour can go with it. You can a add a bright red clutch to your look or neon heels like I did. This instantly brightens your look.

With black and white pieces , you might want to wear them to suit your body type. Let’s say you have a lean top and a heavier bottom, then a white top and black bottoms would be appropriate.

On the other hand, if you have a heavy top and a leaner bottom then a black top and white bottoms would be appropriate. The black top would give the heavier top a slimmer look. Even though you can experiment with different cuts and stick to what you like.

How would you wear black and white ? What pop of colour would you add to your black and white outfit?

I’d love to know your thoughts.
